Remote Patient Monitoring Between Office Visits

At Parks Orthodontics, we are pleased to announce that we have expanded our Invisalign® care with Invisalign® Virtual Care AI. Invisalign® Virtual Care AI is an AI-enabled, remote patient monitoring solution that allows Dr. Meredith Parks to monitor patients’ progress between office visits. We are proud to serve the Newport News and Yorktown communities as one of the only practices in the area that offers this service.

What Do I Need To Get Started With Invisalign® Virtual Care AI?

Invisalign® Virtual Care AI allows Dr. Parks to monitor your Invisalign® progress remotely. It has an innovative remote monitoring system and uses an app called the My Invisalign™ app, which means that you can receive treatment guidance from Dr. Parks no matter where you are! Here is what you need to get started:

This app will allow you to take photos of your smile and receive treatment updates and recommendations from Dr. Parks virtually.

In order to begin virtual care, you will first need an invitation from Dr. Parks to join.

This can be found on your clear aligner bag. You will need to enter this information in the app to set up your account.

An Invisalign® Lens is a device that is placed in the mouth to keep the mouth open and accessible while you take photographs of your smile.

How Does Invisalign® Virtual Care AI Work?

Take photos of your smile.

Put on your aligners and Invisalign® Lens. Then, take pictures of your teeth and bite as instructed by the My Invisalign™ app on your phone. Once all required photos have been taken with your aligners in, remove your aligners and take the remaining photographs. Choose a well-lit area in front of a mirror to take photos.

Submit photos to Dr. Parks.

Receive treatment recommendations from Dr. Parks.

Using her Invisalign® expertise and the My Invisalign™ app’s AI capabilities, Dr. Parks will send you treatment recommendations via the app, and determine if adjustments or an in-office appointment are necessary.

How do I take pictures through the app?

The app will give you instructions on how to correctly take a series of photos. Before you are prompted to take your photos, you will be given Invisalign® Lens to place in your mouth.

Yes! The app allows you to talk to Dr. Parks. She can also send you instructions or notifications through the app, as well.

This virtual care is available for our patients who are 13 years old and up! Whether you’re a teen, young adult or adult, it is a fantastic option for orthodontic treatment.
